COLUMBUS, Ind. – The City of Columbus Department of Public Works is conducting its annual Spring Cleanup program starting this Monday, April 7, and continuing through Friday, April 25.
This program allows residents to prepare their yards for spring planting and clear any remaining fall leaves.
During this period, residents may place leaves, grass clippings, and pine needles at the curb for Leaf-Vac collection on their designated trash day. T
he Spring Cleanup will only operate on the specified dates. If you have sticks or branches, kindly create a separate pile for chipper collection.
The Leaf-Vacs will not collect the following items to prevent damage to the equipment:
- Dirt or sod
- Mulch or rocks
- Decorative grasses
- Sticks or branches
- Trash or recycling of any kind
