COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) strives for openness with the community. One aspect of that communication was an annual report.
However, an objective look at the annual report noted that the singular release of information in a dense multi-page document wasn’t the best way to inform the public.
With that in mind, BCSO has decided to transition to quarterly reports. Bartholomew County Sheriff Chris Lane said, “This will allow us to effectively inform the public more promptly. We hope you find the quarterly reports more informative and satisfying regarding the regularity with which they are released.”
The First Quarter BCSO report is available here. Even though the recent floods in the county occurred early in the Second Quarter, details are included within the First Quarter report due to their significant impact on the community.
