BATESVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP)-Versailles Post arrested a Ripley County man on Friday on possession of child pornography charges.
Troopers were contacted by investigators in Boone County, Kentucky, last week that a warrant had been issued for Matthew B. Rippetoe, 44, of Batesville, on 48 felony counts related to the possession of child pornography/child exploitation.
Rippetoe was located Friday evening in Oldenburg. He was taken into custody without incident by ISP and transported to the Ripley County Jail where he will await extradition to Boone County, Kentucky.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
