NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) was dispatched on Tuesday at noon to a domestic disturbance at the 200 block of Gilbert St.
While officers were en route they were informed that a male subject, Robert Evans, 34, of North Vernon, left the scene in an SUV.
The suspect supposedly took his wife’s friend’s vehicle and almost hit someone while leaving the scene. NVPD observed the SUV turning off of Norris Avenue and east onto W. Walnut Street. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop.
