FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) announced that its Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was active early Wednesday morning.
Members of JCSO Swat assisted the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in serving Federal Court orders at a residence in the 1500 block of Churchill Street, in Franklin, at 6 a.m. The orders were executed without incident.
The SWAT team is a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies and skilled professionals. It includes the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department, Edinburgh Police Department, Bargersville Fire Department, White River Fire Department, and two emergency room doctors.
Sheriff Duane Burgess said, “This partnership ensures the safety and success of high-risk operations within our community.”
