SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Board of Directors of Seymour Main Street Board announced Monday that Jaylyn Stam is its new executive director, concluding a months-long search. She will assume her role on July 15. Stam and her husband, Eric, reside in Seymour.
A Seymour native, Stam is a Brownstown Central High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Indiana University in 2019. She takes her position after working as a strategic account representative for New York-based Movable Ink.
Stam expressed enthusiasm about leading Seymour Main Street in planning, promoting, and preserving downtown Seymour. “Having grown up in Seymour, I am truly honored to step into this role with Seymour Main Street,” she said. “I’m excited to work closely with our community to enhance and preserve our downtown area, making it an engaging space for all.”
Melissa Acton, Seymour Main Street board president, said Stam stood out as a great leader. “We’re thankful to have hired Jaylyn after an extensive search and believe she is a great fit to lead our organization,” Acton said. “Her vision, experience, and passion align perfectly with our mission and we cannot wait to see her thrive in this role.”
